Left our anchorage just after 7 am. We actually slept, anchor alarm gave peace of mind, and shiny anchor came up without a hitch. Confidence building.
With a long day and a fuel truck scheduled tomorrow I put the boat up on plane and did some wide open throttle runs to get those Cummins diesels going. Was really happy to see they both hit their rated max RPM even with all our stuff on board- that means the engines should be happy with the load at any RPM.
We came upon a major dredge operation that had discharge pipes across the entire river so we were blocked, we had to wait an hour to hit a Window where they briefly dismantled enough that we could get through.
Did not pass a single other 40+ foot pleasure craft today over 89 miles. Not much traffic. That is likely to change when we join with the stream of loopers coming down the Illinois River this weekend.

Looks like a happy couple of engines! 💪
