On the ICW towards Florida

Mobile Bay was not happy when we crossed with our friends on Side Piece. Following seas from a north wind, with spray, but we made it ok. First time to see salt on everything.

First time on the ICW and first dolphins. We landed at The Wharf marina and for the first time we were the little kid on the block, the marina is full of $3 million tuna tower Vikings. Even the cleats were embossed.

The marina is part of an entertainment area. Snowflakes and palm trees, hmm.
Everyone has to post one of these
Nancy is very content with Flying Colors

We used our dinghy to travel 3 miles to Lulu’s a touristy restaurant in Gulf Shores on the ICW and upgraded to “bucket sized” rum punch and had a good time.

We rented Pedego electric bikes (closest we’ll come to a Tesla for now) and travelled 15 miles through Gulf State Park. Really smooth transmission on these!
Lots of boardwalks on the trails

Today the water changed to clearer and we saw 35 dolphins we feel like we are in the gulf now. Arrived at Palafox Pier marina, recently recovered from hurricane sally that ripped out their docks and sunk 20 boats.

Lunch view at Jaco’s which was in our marina.

We have another day here so tomorrow we will fuel up, pump out, and explore Pensacola. Here is our track across Mobile Bay. https://reports.nebo.global/e35e2e8b-8ee3-4ef8-952d-015249ae99ed/5009dd9a-7833-45a6-b400-09cd48419612.pdf?v=760396015
