Clearwater hang time

After the run across the Florida panhandle and the Crossing, it was great to spend a week at a newer marina with concrete floating docks and some time to explore.

Our home for a week at Clearwater Harbor Marina

A big surprise was when a bunch of our St croix yacht club friends were in town and they cruised to our location and joined us for a visit and some margaritas. How fun is that!?

We had happy hour with Mike and Angela, who upgraded from a SeaRay 58 to this Hampton endurance 65 and they were so excited about boating and sharing their recommendations for the area. They are not looping.
A lot of birds here! No this is not our boat!
Yesterday we had our shortest leg so far, 1.4 miles across Clearwater Bay to Clearwater Beach Marina. The sunset view is great.

It does take some fuel to move our home around like this.
Hope to get some beach time this coming week. Brad is flying in to join us tomorrow.

We are still learning how to back into “docks” that are mostly 4 poles and a small finger pier. And dealing with a three foot tide and fixed docks and tidal currents. But there are dolphins swimming past our bow. Happy Thanksgiving!
